You manage a small business called Hero Inc. You can buy a Hero for a 6 month contract. Each hero will give you a consistent stream of revenue for that 6 months.

The Goal

Keep your doors open as long as possible. My personal record is 86 months.

Negotiating

In order to get the best deal possible, you have to negotiate with them. But be careful: if you make an offer too high, then you will overpay. Make an offer too low, and they will get insulted and try to walk away. Some heroes have more bargaining power than others

Loans

If you are in a tough spot, you can take out a loan to help. But be careful, the interest adds up fast.

Costs

You're monthly cost is $100 for rent. Every hero that you sign  adds an additional $60 to monthly expenses. And if you have any outstanding loans, you have to pay them back on a monthly basis too.

Money loss seems almost unavoidable, no matter what you do. Initial bargains tend to be bizarrely high. The overall potential to succeed is extremely low, seemingly.
